- Waqo said he expected the suspects to be arraigned in court upon clearance by the Director of Prosecutions (People Daily, June 20 p.6). To arraign is to bring someone before a court to face a criminal charge. So, the suspects will be arraigned.

- Relations between China and Africa have advanced significantly, in particular in recent years, in various fields, with bilateral cooperation expanding to broader frontiers, which are witnessed, campaigned and backed by their leaders and peoples (Report by Xinhua news agency appearing in the Nation, June 20 p. 24) Reads like a speech by a fat bureaucrat who should undergo a lifestyle audit, not a news intro!

(People Daily, June 21). How did the suspects “appear” to the reporter to warrant this conclusion? They should have bolted out of the courtroom?
- DCI boss George Kinoti said they were talking to at least ten officials from KEBS after investigations showed a bad trend of circulation of bad sugar. (The Standard, June 22) What is “a bad trend of circulation of bad sugar”?
- The petition is informed by a press release by an advisory by KICD in April indicating that the indigenous languages be taught in Suba primary schools from next year will be Dholuo. (People Daily, June 22, p. 14). What does this mean?
